An advance payment (also known as an account payment) is a partial payment of your event revenue that is paid out before the event. It offers you financial flexibility and helps you to cover costs in advance.
In the Pro package, you can trigger advance payments to receive a portion of the revenue before your event. Below we explain how you can use this function step by step.
Eventfrog will check your credit rating via CRIF before any advance payment is made. To ensure that this check is successful, we recommend that you obtain information directly from CRIF.
This is particularly relevant for:
New companies or sole proprietors: If your company does not yet exist in the CRIF database, you can register there to have your credit rating data entered.
Companies with a limited history: For new or small companies, this can help to avoid potential uncertainties in advance.
1. Log in via the Cockpit
Access your Eventfrog account and select the event you want to attend.
2. Navigate to the «Payouts» section
In the left-hand menu, go to «Sale» and scroll down to «Payouts»
3. Set payout frequency (optional)
In the Pro package, you can adjust the payout frequency to weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.
Note: The payout frequency cannot be changed if the money-back-guarantee is activated.
4. Initiate a new advance payment:
Click the «New advance payout» button in the «Next Upcoming Payouts» section.
Choose whether you want to use the «Maximum amount» or click on «Custom amount» to enter an individual amount.
If you are not yet in the Pro model, but would like to trigger partial payouts, a banner will appear explaining the fee-based Pro model once again. If you would like to switch to the Pro model in order to use this function, please confirm this by clicking on the «Switch package» button
5. Specify the amount and execution date
The minimum amount is CHF 100, the maximum amount is based on your available income deducting a safety margin (approx. 7% of income).
Select the execution date. This serves as a guideline and may vary depending on bank processing.
6. Enter payment reference and confirm payment
Enter a payment reference to help you allocate the payment.
Confirm the payment with the corresponding button.
Advance payments cannot be triggered in the following cases:
Please note: In the case of partial payments, Eventfrog does not pay out the entire revenue collected up to this point, but retains a residual amount of approx. 7% of the revenue. This amount represents a kind of safety margin. This residual amount is paid out after the end of the event together with the other income as part of the final settlement.
Next upcoming payments: Here you can see planned payouts with date and amount.
Initiated payouts: Under this section you will find all payments made so far, including:
Date of payment
Payment reference
Payment status
Amount paid out
Safety margin (remaining amount of approx. 7%, which will be paid out after the event)
What happens if my bank details are missing?
As long as your bank details are incomplete, no instalment payments can be made. Please fill in these details under «Settings»
Are there any fees?
No, the function is usually free of charge. However, please check the current terms and conditions.
When will I receive the balance?
Once your event has been completed, the remaining amount (including the 7% withheld) will be transferred automatically.
